About the Artist
About the Artist: Lynne Holcomb
Lynne Holcomb has been painting on and off for 50 years. She traveled around the country teaching oil painting and getting on a plane to go to work. She was sponsored by Gary and Kathwren Jenkins who live in Sedona, Arizona, and they are still great friends and mentors. Painting is how Lynne ended up in Cape Coral. She was teaching a workshop at a studio at the Coralwood Mall for a week and after sightseeing, she leased a condo, returned to California, sold most of her belongings, and moved here for good. She paints animals, landscapes, Florida scenes, wall murals and much more. She signs her paintings "Thomas" because it's her maiden name and will never change.
If you have ever been to the Cape Coral Farmer's Market on a Saturday morning, the annual Cape Coral Art Fest, or various other shelter events, you've seen Lynne working hard to raise money for our shelter with her famous phrase, "Everyone has a dollar for the puppies and the kitties!"
